His Custom Tele produces a variety of old and new tones. From the ice cold sounds of Albert Collins to the searing white hot tones of Jonny Winter and Roy Buchanan.

Jason became fascinated with playing music after hearing his dad thumping out boogie woogie tunes. At 7 years of age, Jason did his first performance playing 12bar blues on piano. In the early 90’s Jason was the guitarist, singer, arranger and manager of the Crunch Blues Band, a 9 piece outfit featuring a 4 piece saxophone section.

Inspired by the blues greats such as Lightning Hopkins, T-Bone Walker, Albert Collins, Howlin’ Wolf, Son House, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jonny Winter, Roy Buchanan.

Jason’s slide influences are Robert Johnson, Elmore James and Johnny Winter.

Harp/Mouth organ influences are Sonny Terry and Elwood Blues.

“I arrived at my love of the Blues via 1950’s Rock ‘n’ Roll. The persuasive messages, melodies and rhythms of Chuck Berry and the in-your-face attitude and riffs of Bo Diddly have inspired a musical journey which continues today.

Don’t forget to boogie!”
